About

The Arryman Fellows at annual EDGS Research Symposium

Established in 2012, our program is funded through a five-year gift of $2 million which generously increased to $4.5 million over ten years from the Rajawali Foundation. The Rajawali Foundation focuses on social and humanitarian activities around the world, including education, research and community advancement.

Mission and goals

Our program seeks to create a lively intellectual environment that connects faculty and students, sparks ideas and insights and advances cutting-edge scholarship.

The creation of our program demonstrates Northwestern’s emphasis on international studies and reflects the University’s strategic goals of discovering creative solutions and engaging with the world.

Impact

Geographically our program spans the countries of Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

From our home in the Buffett Institute for Global Studies, we reach across schools and disciplines at Northwestern—from the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, Kellogg School of Management, Pritzker School of Law, Medill School of Journalism, Graduate School and even to the McCormick School of Engineering.
