The Act of Killing receives Academy Award nomination

The movie The Act of Killing, which was screened at Northwestern in November 2013, has been nominated for an Academy Award for best documentary feature. The director, Joshua Oppenheimer, attended the film screening and gave the inaugural EDGS Rajawali Distinguished Lecture. The film has received critical acclaim and won more than fifty awards so far. The Academy Awards ceremony will take place on March 2, 2014.
